Unthought LLC — website redesign, $2,499 fixed price.
Why you're here

You already know the site needs replacing.

That was never the hard part. The hard part is everything between deciding and having a new one.

It looks its age

Tiny type, a stock hero image, a layout that breaks on a phone. It still loads — it just tells everyone who lands on it that the business stopped paying attention years ago.

Nobody will tell you the price

Every site you check says "request a quote." That's a discovery call, a proposal, and two weeks before you learn a number you could have had in ten seconds.

The scope grows after you sign

The quote covers five pages. Then it's a change order for the contact form, another for the blog, another for the photo gallery — and the number you agreed to stops being the number.

What $2,499 covers

Everything on this list. Nothing hidden behind a change order.

One fixed price. If it's on this list, it's in the build.

  • A complete redesign of your site — new layout, new type, new colors, built from scratch rather than dropped into a template
  • Up to 6 pages (typically home, about, services, a service detail page, gallery, contact) — say the word and we swap which six
  • Every page rewritten: your existing copy tightened, or new copy written for you if there isn't any worth keeping
  • Mobile-first build — designed on a phone screen first, then widened, because that's where your visitors actually are
  • A working contact form that emails you the moment someone submits, with spam filtering
  • Your existing content migrated over — pages, photos, services, hours, addresses
  • Basic on-page SEO: page titles, meta descriptions, headings, alt text, sitemap, and redirects from your old URLs so existing search rankings survive the move
  • Google Analytics installed and verified, so you can see what the new site is doing
  • Speed and accessibility pass — compressed images, real contrast, keyboard-navigable, semantic markup
  • Launch handled end to end: domain pointed, SSL, old site retired, nothing goes dark in between

What's not included

Stated up front so it never becomes a change order. Any of these can be quoted separately — just ask before you start.

  • E-commerce, checkout, or payment processing
  • Custom web apps, portals, logins, dashboards, or booking systems
  • Ongoing SEO campaigns, content marketing, or link building
  • Google Ads, Meta ads, or any media buying and management
  • Logo design or a full brand identity (I'll work with the logo you have)
  • Professional photography or paid stock licensing
  • Copywriting for pages beyond the six in the build
  • Migrating or rebuilding a site with more than ~6 pages of content
The 21 days

Three milestones, and you know where you are at every one.

The clock starts the day I have your deposit and your content. Everything below is on me except the two approvals.

  1. 01Days 1–7

    Design

I go through your current site, then design the new homepage and the page templates behind it. You get the full design to look at — not a description of it, the actual thing.

Your part · You approve the design, or tell me what to change. Nothing gets built until you've signed off.

  2. 02Days 8–17

    Build

The approved design becomes the real site: every page built, your content migrated in, copy written, forms wired up, analytics installed, redirects mapped from your old URLs.

Your part · You review the staging link and send one round of changes. I make them.

  3. 03Days 18–21

    Launch

Final pass on speed, mobile, and accessibility. Then the domain gets pointed, SSL goes on, and the new site goes live with the old one retired cleanly. You get a short walkthrough of how to reach me for edits.

Your part · You do nothing. It just goes live.

Twenty-one days is measured from the day I have your deposit and your content. If I'm waiting on photos or copy from you, the clock waits too — and I'll tell you exactly what I'm waiting on.

The work

A site I built, and the honest story behind it.

LD Landscape is a real, live site I designed and built. It was a free build for a friend's business — not a paid engagement — and I'm not going to dress it up as anything else. Click it and judge the work, because the work is the only thing I'm asking you to judge.

What's on it

  • A one-page site built mobile-first
  • A quote form wired to email
  • Layout, type, and copy done end to end

LD LandscapeBuilt free for a friend's business. No results or performance are claimed for it.

What I'm not going to claim

Unthought is new. I don't have a wall of logos, a testimonial page, or a case study with a percentage in it — and I'd rather say that than invent one. What I have is a fixed price you can read without a phone call, a design you see before you pay the balance, and work you can open in a browser right now.

Pricing

The whole price, on the page.

No discovery call to find out the number. Here it is, and here's exactly what each part of it buys.

The rebuild
$2,499one-time

$1,250 deposit to start. The remaining $1,249 is due only after you've seen the design and approved it.

  • Everything in the included list above
  • One round of changes after the build
  • Launch, domain, SSL, and redirects handled
  • The site, the domain, and the code are yours
Hosting + maintenance
$99per month, starts at launch

Billed monthly starting the day the site goes live. Cancel any time — the site and the domain stay yours either way.

  • Hosting, SSL, and daily backups
  • Security patches and platform updates
  • Uptime monitoring, and I fix it if it breaks
  • Up to 30 minutes of content edits a month — text, photos, hours, prices

See the design before you pay the balance.

You put down the deposit, I design your new homepage and page templates, and you look at the finished design before another dollar moves. Don't approve it, don't pay the balance.

Straight answers

The questions people actually ask

What if I need changes?
Before launch: you get a full round of changes on the design and another on the built site — that's built into the $2,499, not billed on top. After launch: the $99/mo covers up to 30 minutes of content edits a month (text, photos, hours, prices), and anything bigger I quote as a flat number before I touch it. You'll never get a surprise invoice.
Who owns the site?
You do. The domain stays in your name, the content is yours, and the code is yours — I'll hand over a copy whenever you ask. If you ever stop the $99/mo, I help you move it wherever you want and that's the end of it. Nothing is held hostage.
What is the $99/mo actually for?
Hosting, SSL, daily backups, security patches, platform updates, uptime monitoring, and me fixing it if it breaks — plus up to 30 minutes of content edits a month. It starts the day the site launches, it's month to month, and you can cancel any time. It is not a payment plan for the build and it doesn't buy you the site — you already own that.
What if I don't like the design?
You see the design before you pay the balance — that's the whole point of the deposit split. If the first design isn't right, you tell me what's wrong and I revise it. If you decide it's genuinely not working and you want out, you pay nothing further and we stop there; the deposit covers the design time already spent.
What do you need from me?
Four things, once: your current site's URL, your logo file, any photos you want used, and the details that have to be right (services, hours, addresses, phone). If a page needs new copy, I write it — I just need you to correct anything I get wrong. After that it's two approvals: the design, and the built site.
Does 21 days include the time I take to approve things?
The 21 days is my working time and the two review windows around it. If I'm waiting on your photos, your copy, or your approval, the clock pauses — and I'll tell you plainly that I'm waiting and what I'm waiting on. Nobody gets to blame a missed date on a silence they didn't mention.
Will my Google rankings survive the move?
That's what the redirect mapping in the build is for: every old URL points at its new equivalent, page titles and headings carry over, and the sitemap gets resubmitted. That protects what you already have. It is not an SEO campaign, and I'm not going to promise you'll rank higher — that's a different service and a different budget.
What if my site is bigger than six pages?
Then $2,499 isn't your number and I'll tell you that instead of stretching it. Send me the URL anyway — I'll look, and if it's out of scope I'll say so and give you a real figure rather than starting a quote process.
Who actually does the work?
I do. Unthought LLC is small and I build these myself — you deal with the person writing the code, not a salesperson and then a handoff.
